Responsibilities
- Own systems end to end — design, production, and on-call.
- Build and maintain backend services and GraphQL APIs for internal teams and partners.
- Develop pipelines to ingest, validate, and anonymize first-party data.
- Design systems to ensure PII never touches general-purpose infrastructure.
- Ensure asynchronous correctness in message processing.
- Manage cross-system changes with appropriate test coverage and monitoring.
- Translate ambiguous requirements into technical designs and strategies.
- Mentor team members through code reviews and design feedback.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in building and operating production systems in high-scale environments.
- Solid computer science fundamentals and experience with distributed systems.
- Proficiency in .NET/C#, Kotlin, or another JVM language.
- Experience with event-driven, asynchronous systems and message-based processing.
- Ability to write maintainable code with a focus on testing and reliability.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
