Responsibilities

  • Deliver reusable data pipeline and architecture solutions across multiple businesses.
  • Build and operate x-as-Code data production pipelines covering extraction, transformation, reconciliation, data quality, and security.
  • Develop modular, repeatable frameworks using test-driven and data-driven development practices.
  • Modernize HR and Employee Experience data products and platforms for scalable business use.
  • Collaborate with data engineering scrum teams, Product, Architecture, peer leaders, and senior stakeholders.
  • Make strategic decisions affecting team resources, budgets, operations, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain accountability for software development lifecycle practices, design patterns, governance, and coding decisions.
  • Upskill engineers and improve platform stability, timeliness, completeness, quality, security, FinOps, operational excellence, and ease of consumption.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience solving complex technical problems.
  • Hands-on data engineering development, coding, AI-code tools and techniques, testing, and automation experience.
  • Experience with Databricks, DBX, PySpark, Spark, Terraform, Kafka, Python or Scala, and Glue or EMR.
  • Experience with AI developer automation tools and BI consumption tools such as Sigma, Genie, or Tableau.
  • Experience with Unity Catalog governance and Immuta data access governance.
  • Experience working in cross-functional technology teams and handling internet-scale data volumes.
  • Experience with big data technologies and complex data processing requirements.
  • Experience building cloud-based data pipelines and platforms using AWS S3, Databricks, GCP, or Azure.
  • Financial services experience is preferred.
