Responsibilities
- Drive technical strategy for enterprise-scale data pipelines and internal and external data-sharing capabilities.
- Improve innovation, engineering practices, delivery acceleration, scalability, operational excellence, performance, and resiliency.
- Build awareness and adoption of modern technologies by communicating their engineering and consumer benefits.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for a technology, platform, or capability domain and shape use cases and implementation.
- Promote engineering excellence, reuse, and inner-source solutions.
- Communicate with and influence stakeholders across the enterprise at all organizational levels.
- Mentor engineers, develop technical talent, and recruit external talent.
- Write hands-on code using Python, SQL, Java, and/or Scala.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 9 years of experience in data engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in data architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience building applications in AWS.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of data engineering experience preferred.
- 3+ years of data modeling experience preferred.
- 2+ years of experience with ontology standards for defining a domain preferred.
- 2+ years of experience using Python, SQL, or Scala preferred.
- 1+ year of experience deploying machine learning models preferred.
- 3+ years of experience implementing big data processing solutions on AWS preferred.
- Experience using interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion preferred.
