Responsibilities
- Architect end-to-end AI-enabled solutions for legal intake, contract lifecycle management, compliance workflows, document intelligence, legal operations, and post-signature insights.
- Design, develop, validate, and deploy production-ready AI agents, copilots, orchestration services, APIs, integrations, and workflow automation.
- Define solution blueprints, reference architectures, reusable patterns, technical standards, monitoring approaches, evaluation frameworks, and performance metrics.
- Design secure and scalable integrations among AI capabilities, CLM platforms, workflow tools, enterprise applications, data services, and systems of record.
- Lead model selection, retrieval, orchestration, enterprise AI integration, architecture reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Evaluate vendors, platforms, emerging technologies, and buy-versus-build options against business, integration, security, scalability, risk, and cost considerations.
- Establish responsible AI, security, privacy, regulatory compliance, auditability, access control, resiliency, and operational support controls.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, implementation guidance, design reviews, and engineering best practices to engineers, data scientists, and solution teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience architecting and delivering enterprise software, workflow, integration, or AI-enabled solutions in production environments.
- Experience as a Solution Architect, Lead Engineer, Technical Architect, or in a comparable technical leadership role.
- Strong hands-on software engineering experience personally designing, developing, testing, and deploying production-ready solutions.
- Extensive experience building AI-enabled applications with large language models, agentic architectures, retrieval systems, orchestration frameworks, and enterprise AI services.
- Experience architecting enterprise workflows across multiple business systems, applications, data sources, and organizational stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency with Python, API design, integration patterns, cloud-native development, and modern software architecture principles.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools.
- Ability to make architecture tradeoffs involving business value, technical complexity, security, scalability, maintainability, and total cost of ownership.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills across technical teams, business stakeholders, legal professionals, and executive leadership.
- Preferred experience with Contract Lifecycle Management, legal operations, compliance, procurement, regulatory affairs, or enterprise workflow automation.
- Preferred familiarity with Agiloft, Eudia, ServiceNow, GEP, Harvey AI, or similar legal technology ecosystems.
- Preferred experience with contract review, clause and obligation extraction, legal research support, compliance validation, legal intake and matter routing, marketing compliance workflows, or procurement contracting.
- Preferred knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, integration platforms, API management, workflow orchestration, responsible AI, AI governance, model evaluation, enterprise AI monitoring, security, privacy, auditability, and risk management.
