Base Salary

$222k - $290k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship Watcher features across the full stack, including agent hooks, CLI tooling, ingestion and grading pipelines, monitoring UIs, and dashboards.
  • Own features from ambiguous requirements and customer conversations through technical decisions, production deployment, and iteration.
  • Build integrations with coding agents, LLM gateways, enterprise security systems, SIEM platforms, and security operations workflows.
  • Design and operate real-time backend systems handling large volumes of agent logs, including scalable data models and storage.
  • Own reliability through error handling, graceful degradation, logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and low-latency blocking paths.
  • Support cloud-hosted, on-premises, and local deployment models, including tenant isolation, encryption, and access controls.
  • Productionize monitoring research such as new monitors, grading strategies, and backtesting results.
  • Talk to customers, debug issues in customer environments, and incorporate feedback into the product roadmap.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience building and operating production software with real users.
  • Strong backend and frontend capability, including APIs, data pipelines, databases, cloud infrastructure, and modern web UI development.
  • Strong working experience with Python and TypeScript.
  • Experience using Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar tools heavily, or experience building agents or agent tooling.
  • Ability to own substantial product areas, make decisions with incomplete information, and deliver at high volume.
  • Ability to talk to users, translate vague requirements into concrete designs, and make product tradeoffs.
  • Experience with developer tools, monitoring or observability systems, security products, real-time or large-scale data processing, enterprise or on-premises deployments, or early-stage startups is valued.
  • Experience building LLM-powered applications, including LLM-as-judge systems, evaluation pipelines, or familiarity with Inspect, is valued.
  • Formal AI safety and management experience are not required.
