Responsibilities
- Design and build shared Kotlin Multiplatform modules for call-state logic behind a common interface supporting multiple voice vendors.
- Implement platform-specific Android functionality including Telecom/ConnectionService, audio, and push handling.
- Implement platform-specific iOS functionality including CallKit, PushKit, and consumption of compiled XCFrameworks.
- Set AI-assisted development practices for code generation, automated testing, and architecture workflows.
- Own architecture decisions for the shared core and mentor other engineers.
- Drive CI/CD maturity across Android and iOS toolchains using GitHub Actions, Fastlane, and Xcode Cloud.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional mobile engineering experience with native-level strength on Android/Kotlin or iOS/Swift.
- Hands-on production Kotlin Multiplatform experience, including commonMain, androidMain, iosMain, expect/actual code, and shipping KMP modules as compiled XCFrameworks on iOS.
- Experience extracting shared modules from legacy single-module applications or leading legacy-codebase modularization efforts.
- Experience introducing a dependency-injection framework such as Hilt, Koin, or Dagger into a codebase without one.
- Deep hands-on AI-assisted engineering experience with Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar tools, with the ability to establish practices for others.
- Ability to own architecture decisions rather than only implement specifications.
- Preferred experience with Compose Multiplatform, WebRTC, VoIP, real-time communication protocols, Flutter, Dart, or AI-agent integration in mobile applications.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with distributed or remote global teams is preferred.
