Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Translate product and UX requirements into reusable frontend architecture, components, shared libraries, and design standards.
- Integrate frontend applications with REST and GraphQL APIs and contribute to Node.js-based backend integrations and APIs.
- Optimize performance through lazy loading, code splitting, caching, rendering improvements, and production debugging.
- Write production-ready code with unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain engineering standards.
- Investigate and resolve production issues while improving application availability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with platform and backend teams on CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and cloud deployments.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to planning, technical design, and frontend best practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on frontend development experience using React and TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend development practices.
- Understanding of frontend architecture, state management, component design, performance optimization, and responsive UI development.
- Production experience integrating RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Working knowledge of Node.js and the ability to contribute to lightweight backend or API development.
- Understanding of frontend unit and integration testing practices.
- Experience debugging production issues and improving performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP and with containerized and cloud environments.
- Understanding of secure coding, authentication and authorization flows, and web security principles.
- Strong collaboration, communication, independent execution, and mentoring experience.
- Preferred experience with Next.js, NestJS, Express, design systems, shared component libraries, accessibility standards, Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, feature flags, API gateways, rate limiting, frontend performance monitoring, or large-scale SaaS and data-heavy applications.
