Responsibilities
- Partner with account managers and sales teams to identify, shape, qualify, and expand energy-sector opportunities.
- Build relationships with client technical and business stakeholders across IT, OT, engineering, and operations leadership.
- Lead technical discovery workshops and develop solution concepts, value propositions, RFP/RFI responses, proposals, architecture documents, and pricing estimates.
- Own technical delivery from sales transition through implementation and go-live across cloud engineering, application engineering, DevSecOps, managed services, and data engineering workstreams.
- Lead cross-functional delivery teams and manage schedules, budgets, scope, risks, dependencies, escalations, change requests, and stakeholder expectations.
- Define managed-services operating models, SLAs, and transitions to steady-state support where applicable.
- Contribute to account plans and long-term technical roadmaps and mentor junior delivery and pre-sales staff.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in technical delivery, solution architecture, or systems integration, including at least 4 years focused on the energy industry.
- Proven pre-sales experience involving scoping, proposal writing, solution estimation, and collaboration with account or sales teams.
- Experience leading complex, multi-workstream projects from kickoff through go-live across cloud engineering, application engineering, DevSecOps, and/or data engineering.
- Hands-on or delivery-leadership experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices.
- Working knowledge of data pipelines, data lakes and warehouses, operational or IoT data integration, and energy systems such as SCADA/ADMS, EAM/CMMS, GIS, and metering/AMI.
- Strong understanding of system integration methodologies, APIs, middleware, enterprise architecture patterns, stakeholder management, budgets, and delivery-team leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with energy-sector platforms and vendors such as Oracle Utilities, SAP for Utilities, OSIsoft/AVEVA PI, Schneider Electric, GE, Siemens, and ESRI GIS.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps, container security, observability stacks, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory/Synapse, AWS Glue/Redshift, and cloud-native DevSecOps tooling.
- PMP, TOGAF, ITIL, or AWS/Azure/GCP cloud architect certification; exposure to grid modernization, DERMS, renewables integration, or energy-transition initiatives; and an established energy-industry network are preferred.
