Responsibilities
- Formulate business problems into practical, efficient, and scalable AI and machine learning solutions.
- Develop and deploy machine learning algorithms, models, computational systems, and production software at scale.
- Build scalable data, DevOps, and MLOps pipelines for model training and production.
- Customize and apply deep learning, Generative AI, and language models for client use cases, including edge-device and HPC environments.
- Research AI and high-performance computing algorithms, models, simulations, and applications.
- Preprocess large-scale datasets and implement efficient data storage and retrieval mechanisms for models and knowledge.
- Monitor, alert, audit, and maintain production AI/ML systems, including automatic bug filing.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, engineers, architects, and UI designers to integrate solutions into production and communicate their business value.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
- Experience as a machine learning engineer or scientist deploying models in production at scale, including monitoring, alerting, automatic bug filing, and auditing.
- Experience applying computer science foundations in computer system architecture, system engineering, and programming.
- Experience with distributed computing systems and architectures, including areas such as big data, high-performance computing, scientific computing, grid computing, cloud computing, or distributed networks.
- Professional experience building and deploying AI/ML software to a cloud environment.
- Proficiency in Python and Python-based AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience with language model APIs and optimizing their use for specific applications.
- Experience with Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong client-facing, consulting, cross-functional, and collaboration skills.
- Master's or PhD in a related field such as computer science or engineering preferred.
