Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end architectures for scalable, resilient, and efficient AI systems, including data pipelines, model training and serving, retrieval systems, monitoring, and governance.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to translate architectural designs into work items and resolve architectural challenges during execution.
- Contribute to business development technical solutioning, including proposal input, architecture design, and effort estimation.
- Mentor senior engineers and improve architectural and engineering maturity across teams.
- Pilot and evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing and delivering production-grade AI software systems across different domains.
- Experience designing or implementing production generative AI systems, including agentic systems, RAG pipelines, tool-use patterns, and model adaptation such as fine-tuning open-source LLMs or diffusion models.
- Practical experience with retrieval and knowledge systems, vector databases, ingestion frameworks, and graph databases.
- Broad knowledge of generative models, deep learning, predictive machine learning, cloud-based AI platforms, infrastructure concepts, and MLOps practices.
- Strong client-facing communication skills and the ability to evaluate performance, cost, risk, and maintainability trade-offs.
- Collaborative, mentorship-oriented technical leadership approach.
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including distributed large-scale systems.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience delivering data science and machine learning projects into production.
- Experience with Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, or equivalent cloud-based AI platforms.
- Working knowledge of MLOps practices including monitoring and governance.
- Demonstrated progression from hands-on implementation to system-level architectural responsibility.
