Responsibilities
- Lead quality engineering strategy for modern web applications, backend services, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using production-quality code.
- Build reusable libraries, testing utilities, and developer tools that improve engineering productivity.
- Contribute to frontend and backend development using React, Java, and Python.
- Drive API, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Champion CI/CD, infrastructure automation, code quality, observability, and release readiness.
- Use and evaluate AI-assisted engineering workflows for code generation, testing, debugging, documentation, code reviews, and root cause analysis.
- Lead defect triage, root cause analysis, production quality initiatives, and data-driven quality improvements.
- Mentor engineers on software design, coding standards, automation architecture, AI-assisted development, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4–6 years of experience in Software Engineering, Software Quality Engineering, or a hybrid SDET role.
- Strong programming skills in Java and Python, with proficiency in React and modern web technologies.
- Experience designing and developing scalable automation frameworks with tools such as Playwright, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or PyTest.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and modern application architectures.
- Experience with SQL and MongoDB databases.
- Knowledge of Git, GitHub, Maven or Gradle, Jenkins or GitHub Actions, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs into products or engineering workflows.
- Experience using Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent AI-assisted development tools.
