Base Salary
$121k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend compute services and APIs for ARM64 and x86_64 instance management.
- Expand platform functionality, resource orchestration tools, and APIs for cloud compute provisioning.
- Provide production support and resolve complex issues affecting low-level compute systems.
- Partner with hardware and cross-functional teams to integrate ARM server hardware and address performance bottlenecks.
- Improve compute platform performance, feature sets, multi-core scalability, and service reliability.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle, including code reviews, release management, and support.
Requirements
- Have 5+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Demonstrate extensive software development lifecycle experience, including code reviews, release management, and support.
- Be proficient in Python, Go, C/C++, or Rust.
- Have experience with KVM, QEMU, container runtimes, Linux system APIs, or hypervisor integration.
- Have experience with web application development, microservices, micro-orchestration, RESTful APIs, and database design patterns.
- Demonstrate strong debugging, profiling, and troubleshooting skills across distributed Linux systems and database layers.
