Base Salary
$120k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build consumer financial product features end-to-end, including domain models, business logic, and API integrations.
- Drive incremental, data-driven releases toward product milestones.
- Use SQL and analytics tools to evaluate product and system performance against data pipelines.
- Test and debug complex state machines in event-driven, pub/sub backend systems.
- Ship to production daily through a rapid CI/CD process, own implementations end-to-end, and respond to production incidents as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business leaders.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building backend features end-to-end for production systems.
- Proficiency designing and consuming RESTful APIs, including authentication, authorization, and rate-limiting patterns.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues such as Kafka or Pub/Sub.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including data modeling and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated testing, and code review processes.
- Experience debugging complex state machines in event-driven systems.
- Prior experience building consumer-facing products.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and system design.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred: experience with Go deployed on GCP and experience at early-stage or high-growth startups.
