Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain reliable, secure, performant web and desktop applications and high-throughput cloud services.
- Partner with product managers, product owners, software architects, and stakeholders to deliver iterative product enhancements.
- Contribute to software design, architecture, design patterns, codebase improvements, and the full development lifecycle.
- Research and prototype innovative ideas, technologies, and patterns, and document and present solutions.
- Use LLMs and AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, efficiency, code quality, debugging, testing, and operational problem-solving.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience with application and cloud services development.
- Experience building software with TypeScript, C#, and/or Python.
- Understanding of web or desktop application architecture, including data, application, and web tiers in production.
- Experience building secure APIs, microservices, and desktop applications.
- Experience with relational database technologies such as Postgres, including schema design, query performance, and operational considerations.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response practices.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI-assisted tools and techniques for software development and operational problem-solving.
- Hands-on experience with unit and automated testing tools such as Cypress and Playwright.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with diverse audiences.
- Self-direction, ownership, independence, and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS experience, experience with Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Revit, or other CAD/AEC design software, experience applying AI or automation to testing and operational efficiency, and exposure to DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
