Responsibilities
- Modernize monolithic systems by refactoring them into distributed and scalable architectures.
- Build and operate high-quality, reliable software for large-scale systems and millions of users.
- Make major code design decisions and contribute to global engineering standards and technical solution designs.
- Improve developer experience through engineering tooling and CI/CD practices.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, automated testing, refactoring, and agile delivery.
- Mentor and coach other engineers through complex technical challenges and support their growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering and operating complex large-scale systems in distributed or high-availability environments.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to ramp quickly across adjacent technologies.
- Experience designing and building high-quality software using a range of languages and tools.
- Ability to lead major code design decisions and contribute to broader technical solutioning.
- Experience with automated testing, refactoring, and modern engineering practices.
- Strong interest in technical excellence, continuous learning, and sharing knowledge with peers.
- Experience mentoring or coaching other engineers is expected.
Benefits
- Base salary range of $155,000–$205,000 CAD, excluding variable pay or equity.
