Associate Software Engineer - Test Automation (Infra)

Responsibilities
- Understand Vault infrastructure architecture and test infrastructure changes using AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Set up, maintain, test, and improve infrastructure test environments.
- Develop and contribute to test automation for infrastructure features, including zero-downtime upgrades and high availability/disaster recovery.
- Apply programming skills to automate and optimize testing of cloud-based infrastructure.
- Build, maintain, and improve the automation framework, test harness, and related processes.
- Execute automation, verify bugs, triage automation results, and verify outcomes within release milestones.
- Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and QA engineers.
- Communicate status, risks, and progress to onshore managers and team leads.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least one year of experience in software test automation or an SDET role.
- Experience with one or more of Java, JavaScript, Python, and Bash/Shell.
- Hands-on experience with API automation using RestAssured or an equivalent tool.
- Basic knowledge of AWS infrastructure technologies including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, load balancers, IAM, EKS, and other AWS services.
- Knowledge of tools such as ELK Stack, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Ansible, Terraform, Chef, CloudFormation, GitLab, and GitHub.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Experience supporting multiple features in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a product-based company, with remote teams, AWS SDK for Java, Groovy scripting for Jenkins pipelines, code reviews, internal tools, hackathons, or automation initiatives is preferred.
