Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable cloud-native applications on Azure and AWS using Java and Node.js.
- Create secure, resilient cloud architectures and detailed solution designs for cloud-based services.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and quality assurance teams on requirements, backlog refinement, testing, and release validation.
- Optimize application code, database interactions, and cloud-resource usage for performance, cost efficiency, and availability.
- Configure and integrate cloud storage, messaging, compute, networking, and identity services.
- Apply API design, error handling, logging, and observability practices to maintain reliable services.
- Review and refactor Java and Node.js codebases to improve maintainability and reduce technical debt.
- Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines by defining build steps, integrating tests, and automating deployments.
- Document system designs, operational procedures, and technical decisions.
- Provide technical guidance to peers on complex cloud implementation topics and propose cloud-solution enhancements.
Requirements
- Five to seven years of professional software development experience focused on Java and Node.js enterprise solutions.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing production applications on Azure, including compute, storage, networking, and identity services.
- Advanced proficiency with AWS cloud services for application hosting and integration.
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts including elasticity, resilience, security, cost optimization, and multi-cloud strategies.
- Practical knowledge of version control, code review, automated testing, and continuous delivery.
- Experience collaborating effectively in hybrid and distributed work environments.
- Clear communication skills for explaining solution options and technical tradeoffs to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Exposure to billing and revenue-management domains is preferred.
- Azure Developer Associate and AWS Certified Developer certifications are preferred; additional cloud or Java credentials are beneficial.
