Responsibilities
- Deliver critical code, conduct code reviews, and optimize complex AI projects as a hands-on individual contributor.
- Lead and mentor Applied AI Engineering teams delivering generative AI applications across industries.
- Lead technical pre-sales discussions and translate customer requirements into actionable solutions.
- Design and oversee fine-tuning, RAG, agentic workflow, and custom LLM application implementations.
- Evaluate emerging AI tools and methodologies and promote best practices for fine-tuning, inference, and deployment.
- Collaborate with product managers, researchers, and engineers to incorporate customer feedback into product development.
Requirements
- Native Korean and fluent English proficiency.
- PhD or master's degree in AI or data science, or equivalent self-directed expertise.
- 10+ years of experience as a technical individual contributor, such as a data scientist or software engineer, working on AI-based products.
- Experience fine-tuning LLMs and addressing advanced RAG or agentic use cases.
- Deep understanding of machine learning and LLM concepts and algorithms.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and deployment of AI-based products.
- Experience building or deploying products with large-scale user bases.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred: contributions to open-source LLM projects.
- Preferred: experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Staff Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or Staff Data Scientist.
- Preferred: experience founding or helping found a rapidly growing startup.
