Responsibilities
- Design and develop secure, scalable Java Spring Boot microservices supporting enterprise workflows and customer-facing channels.
- Develop MongoDB data-access layers, including collection design, indexing, schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Implement maintainable Java code, service contracts, APIs, application configuration, security mechanisms, and dependency management.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, platform engineers, DevOps teams, and global stakeholders to define and deliver solutions.
- Perform unit, integration, and regression testing and participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Analyze production metrics and logs, troubleshoot service and database issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Support deployment pipelines and consistent releases across test and production environments.
- Apply airline or travel-domain knowledge to improve reservation, check-in, booking, ticketing, and operational journeys when relevant.
- Document technical designs, data models, and service interfaces.
- Take ownership of end-to-end PEGA ADM delivery, maintenance, enhancements, and platform evolution initiatives.
Requirements
- Several years of hands-on Java development experience building enterprise applications focused on performance, reliability, and code quality.
- Advanced proficiency with Spring Boot and Spring Boot microservices, including configuration, security, integration, and lifecycle management.
- Solid MongoDB experience covering collection design, indexing strategies, and performance optimization in high-traffic transactional or event-driven environments.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model with geographically dispersed teams.
- Familiarity with airline or travel processes such as booking, ticketing, and disruption management is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving experience involving complex production issues across services and databases.
- Awareness of continuous integration, automated testing, and observability practices.
- Ability to collaborate clearly, maintain accountability, and contribute to technical design and delivery.
