Responsibilities
- Establish security architecture for decentralized, on-device AI systems and enterprise technology, including trust boundaries, identity frameworks, and data protection strategies.
- Lead threat modeling for edge, distributed, and AI-driven environments and embed security into system design.
- Integrate security into software and ML lifecycles and define safeguards for model integrity, adversarial attacks, data poisoning, and emerging AI/ML threats.
- Partner with engineering to build secure-by-default product capabilities and make security a core product feature.
- Own security across cloud, hybrid, edge, on-premises, and device-level environments, including deployments, firmware, and update mechanisms.
- Establish controls protecting confidentiality, integrity, availability, privacy, data, identity, access, networking, and distributed systems.
- Develop and operate cybersecurity risk-assessment and vulnerability-management programs and mitigate supply-chain and third-party risks.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in a professional, technical cybersecurity capacity.
- 5+ years of experience in technical cybersecurity leadership roles.
- Deep experience in product and platform security beyond enterprise IT security.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and modern architectures.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, edge computing, application and infrastructure security, and adversarial thinking.
- Depth in AI/ML security, including model integrity, data poisoning, and adversarial attacks.
- Foundational secure software development experience is preferred.
- Technical literacy sufficient to coach others on delivery best practices, along with strong communication skills for technical and non-technical discussions.
- Ability to adapt to evolving processes, work with imperfect systems, and improve them incrementally.
- CISSP, CSSLP, OSWE, GAIPS, or another relevant certification is recommended.
- Must work in Austin, Texas, or be willing to relocate.
