Base Salary
$320k - $405k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build identity verification and vetting systems for individual and business customers.
- Design and implement access-control systems that grant, scope, and revoke access based on approved use cases.
- Build infrastructure for configuring safety systems and detection thresholds per customer.
- Develop monitoring and enforcement tooling to detect and respond to misuse of expanded access.
- Detect and remediate account takeover.
- Integrate with third-party identity verification and data-enrichment vendors.
- Create monitoring dashboards, alerts, and internal administrative tooling.
- Partner with policy, enforcement, threat intelligence, and go-to-market teams on access decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable experience.
- Experience building and operating backend systems in production.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Interest in the societal impacts of AI and making powerful systems safer.
- Preferred: 6+ years of industry software engineering experience.
- Preferred: experience with identity, authentication, or authorization systems at scale.
- Preferred: experience with KYC/KYB workflows or identity verification vendors.
- Preferred: experience in trust and safety, integrity, fraud, or abuse detection.
- Preferred: experience detecting and responding to account takeover or credential compromise.
- Preferred: experience partnering with operational teams to build custom internal tooling.
