Responsibilities
- Lead full-stack architecture and system design for features used by millions of customers.
- Own complex end-to-end systems spanning React frontends and backend microservices.
- Design and evolve Backend-for-Frontend layers that aggregate downstream services into UI-friendly contracts.
- Guide technical decisions and engineering excellence across several squads.
- Collaborate with Product and Design to deliver scalable, user-centered solutions.
- Provide technical mentorship and help resolve ambiguous, cross-team engineering problems.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience in web, backend, or full-stack development.
- Hands-on proficiency with React, Next.js, TypeScript, state management, component libraries, and Webpack or Vite.
- Expertise in Java, Kotlin, or .NET, with experience designing microservices and APIs.
- Experience building and owning Node.js/TypeScript BFF layers, including API aggregation, response shaping, and authentication handling.
- Understanding of frontend performance fundamentals, including Core Web Vitals, code splitting, lazy loading, and CSR, SSR, and ISR rendering strategies.
- Familiarity with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using tools such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end architecture for high-traffic platforms.
- Track record of technical mentorship and cross-team collaboration.
