Responsibilities
- Design test plans and procedures to verify and validate spacecraft software and hardware, including sensors, controllers, avionics, and guidance, navigation, and control algorithms.
- Develop software testing infrastructure and tests across emulators and spacecraft hardware platforms.
- Improve testing infrastructure for developer and automated testing workflows.
- Execute manual tests involving spacecraft hardware, report regressions, and increase automation coverage.
- Expand nightly autonomous tests across continuous integration pipelines and multiple test platforms.
- Write bug tickets, develop test reporting tools, and map test results to subsystem requirements.
- Benchmark spacecraft performance across flight modes and investigate anomalous software behavior.
- Manage test regressions, test resources, and software repositories; perform acceptance testing and present test metrics.
- Collaborate with developers, engineers, and technicians to resolve spacecraft software system issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree, ideally in a technical field.
- At least five years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency with object-oriented programming and scripting languages such as Python.
- Demonstrated ability to build and test distributed software and/or hardware systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead anomaly investigations involving multiple experts.
- U.S. Person status and eligibility to obtain required export authorizations under ITAR/EAR regulations.
