Responsibilities
- Design test plans and procedures to validate spacecraft software and hardware.
- Develop software testing infrastructure for verifying spacecraft systems.
- Improve software testing capabilities for better integration between developers and testers.
- Execute manual test procedures for spacecraft hardware and report regressions.
- Expand automated tests in a continuous integration pipeline for increased coverage.
- Write bug tickets for software issues encountered during verification.
- Develop reporting tools to map test results to subsystem-level requirements.
- Benchmark and analyze spacecraft system performance across flight modes.
- Identify and resolve anomalous software behavior.
- Collaborate with a team to proactively solve problems found through testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in a technical field.
- Minimum five years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Proficiency with scripting languages like Python.
- Experience in building and testing distributed software and hardware systems.
- Ability to lead anomaly investigation activities involving multiple experts.
