Base Salary
$84k - $204k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and user support to system operators, division office workers, engineering personnel, and information technology personnel.
- Analyze, recommend, design, plan, test, implement, and support ADMS capabilities.
- Perform system and data analysis, develop software enhancements, test functionality, and maintain ADMS application configuration.
- Aggregate and model data to create reports and dashboards using BI tools.
- Support smart-grid applications including SCADA, power flow, fault locating, switching, and outage management.
- Provide training and documentation and perform off-hours support as needed for the 24x7x365 ADMS environment.
- Perform root-cause analysis and develop prioritized short- and long-term action plans and backlog solutions.
- At senior or lead levels, engage vendors, user groups, and utility peers; contribute to technology standards and cloud-configuration processes; and lead implementation plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in engineering, mathematics, or computer science.
- Grid Solutions Engineer level requires three or more years of directly related experience.
- Senior Grid Solutions Engineer level requires five or more years of relevant experience and experience with at least two listed systems or technologies.
- Lead Grid Solutions Engineer level requires seven or more years of relevant experience and experience with at least three listed systems or technologies.
- Relevant experience may include electric power distribution, ADMS, outage analysis, GIS, electric circuit analysis, software applications development, relational databases, and server or network infrastructure.
- Experience with ADMS, outage analysis, GIS, electric circuit analysis, software development, relational databases, and server or network infrastructure is preferred or required depending on level.
