Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of AWS cloud solutions aligned with security, compliance, and architectural standards.
- Provide operational support for AWS services and contribute to Azure support as needed.
- Design scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective cloud architectures for business applications and services.
- Drive improvements in platform stability, security, automation, and cost efficiency.
- Develop AWS governance frameworks, landing zone patterns, reusable engineering practices, and architectural documentation.
- Support AWS onboarding through service enablement, landing zone configuration, guardrail implementation, and enterprise-tool integration.
- Act as a technical escalation point for AWS issues and guide engineering peers.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting AWS production workloads.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code using CloudFormation and/or Terraform.
- Strong scripting and development experience with Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
- Experience with Git-based workflows, branching strategies, pull requests, and CI/CD integration.
- Experience producing operational runbooks, configuration specifications, platform standards, and architectural design documentation.
- Strong knowledge of AWS architecture, IAM, least privilege, identity patterns, network segmentation, governance controls, and Well-Architected principles.
- Experience troubleshooting networking, compute, identity, and automation issues in cloud environments.
- Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation or Terraform equivalents.
- Experience with networking and DNS, including VPC design, hybrid connectivity, routing, private endpoints, and name resolution.
- Experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and cloud-native or third-party service integrations.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) certification is required.
- Azure engineering experience, ARM/Bicep templates, Azure platform services, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and Azure certifications such as AZ-104 or higher are preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree is listed as preferred.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, problem-solving, documentation, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
