Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and implement Marketplace features for maintenance services, approvals, transactions, billing, and fleet data entry.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Quality Engineers, and other Engineers to deliver high-quality software.
- Participate in collaborative feature design and architecture.
- Write well-tested, maintainable, performant code and review peers’ code.
- Research and implement prototypes and technical spikes to validate assumptions and feasibility.
- Contribute a strong voice to development and planning processes.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with Ruby on Rails, React, and/or TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Experience solving challenging architecture problems with good design.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks.
- Excellent written communication, attention to detail, quality focus, and ability to make tradeoffs.
- Preferred qualifications include expertise in data modeling and query optimization, experience leading small teams or projects, fleet management industry knowledge, consumer or mobile APIs, external API integrations, and two-sided marketplace development.
