Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Develop Windows and real-time operating system applications, including multithreaded and real-time applications.
- Troubleshoot software, electrical, mechanical, and real-time control system issues.
- Lead technical escalations with field engineers and global customers.
- Investigate reported issues and improve regression test coverage with Quality Assurance and Support teams.
- Author and review software requirements, system specifications, design documents, and test plans.
- Integrate factory automation interfaces including SECS/GEM and related protocols.
- Collaborate with automation teams to ensure reliable communication between manufacturing equipment and factory systems.
- Participate in system architecture, design, scheduling, and long-term technical improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of software development experience, preferably in a full-stack or systems-focused environment.
- Strong software development experience using C#.
- Semiconductor industry experience and hands-on factory automation experience.
- Familiarity with SECS/GEM, GEM300, and EDA (Interface A) protocols.
- Experience working with Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS).
- Preferred experience includes 10+ years of software development, software architecture, system design, machine control software, GUI development, device drivers, networking, industrial communications, EtherCAT, dynamic scheduling algorithms, and deadlock avoidance techniques.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
