Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop robust cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, reduce technical debt, and optimize system performance.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and influence long-term technology strategy.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 7+ years of coding experience across more than two listed programming languages.
- Preferred: Experience with databases, cloud platforms, open source frameworks, frontend frameworks, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, and AI-based coding tools.
- Preferred: Experience mentoring engineers, leading cross-functional engineering efforts, establishing coding standards, and driving large-scale technical initiatives.
