Responsibilities
- Research and apply modern AI methods, including agents, LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and supervised or unsupervised learning, to develop product capabilities.
- Translate business problems into AI solutions that improve workflows, accelerate insights, and deliver measurable value.
- Own the architecture and integration of agentic chat throughout the Vendelux platform.
- Design systems that enable AI agents to reason, take action, and interact with internal data, external tools, and user workflows.
- Architect scalable multi-tenant AI infrastructure with appropriate performance, latency, and cost characteristics.
- Own observability, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails for production AI features.
- Collaborate with product, data science, and application engineering teams to translate requirements into AI systems.
- Advise leadership on the AI roadmap and influence product differentiation through AI.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering or data engineering, including at least 3+ years building AI/ML-driven products.
- Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with modern AI frameworks such as Hugging Face and LangChain.
- Experience designing data pipelines with Airflow, Dagster, or equivalent tools.
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Production experience applying LLMs and generative AI, including prompt engineering, RAG, and LLM deployment.
- Strong understanding of data science and machine learning techniques and the ability to balance research and engineering tradeoffs.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into data solutions that drive business value.
- Proven record of shipping user-facing features with measurable impact.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across data, engineering, and product teams.
- Startup experience is preferred.
