Base Salary
$130k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the design of an authoritative source of truth for program configuration and lead the migration path to it.
- Lead schema design and data-flow architecture through a collaborative process.
- Build and maintain microservices and APIs that other teams can depend on using contract-driven development practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders on high-impact projects.
- Mentor and support engineers while fostering a respectful, communicative, and collaborative technical culture.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated senior-level responsibilities.
- Senior-level experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem.
- Experience with web services, APIs, contract-driven development, testing methodologies, and full software development lifecycle practices.
- Ability to work autonomously, provide technical vision, and guide teams toward scalable solutions.
- Preferred experience with real data migrations, Domain-Driven Design, decomposing monoliths into services, multiple relational and NoSQL data stores, Protocol Buffers, gRPC, and frontend development with TypeScript and React.
- Experience with highly configurable software products and familiarity with energy, distributed energy resources, or virtual power plant domains are preferred.
