Base Salary
$130k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the design of an authoritative source of truth for program configuration and lead the migration path
- Lead schema design and data-flow architecture through collaborative processes
- Build and maintain microservices and APIs using contract-driven development practices
- Develop data structures, services, tooling, and client-facing capabilities across the stack
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders
- Mentor and support engineers while fostering a collaborative technical culture
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with proven senior-level responsibilities
- Senior-level experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem
- Experience with web services, RESTful APIs, and contract-driven development
- Strong experience with testing methodologies and full software development lifecycle best practices
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to work autonomously, provide technical vision, and guide scalable solutions
- Experience with real-world data migrations is preferred
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design and decomposing monolithic systems into clearly owned services is preferred
- Experience with relational and NoSQL data stores is preferred
- Experience with protocol buffers and gRPC communications is preferred
- Frontend experience with TypeScript and React, or willingness to learn, is preferred
- Experience with highly configurable software products is a plus
- Familiarity with the energy, distributed energy resources, or virtual power plant domain is a plus
