Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deliver technical gameplay features and systems such as player mechanics, abilities, progression, vehicle mechanics, game flow, world systems, and activities.
- Maintain gameplay systems and solve technical challenges underlying the game’s features.
- Write robust, understandable, and maintainable code and systems.
- Diagnose and fix gameplay, memory, performance, networking, and scalability issues.
- Translate feature requests into meaningful, actionable work items.
- Collaborate with designers, animators, artists, programmers, and other internal and external developers.
Requirements
- Exceptional C++ programming skills with the ability to code and architect gameplay mechanics and tools.
- Experience with gameplay systems such as Gameplay Ability Systems, EQS, Enhanced Input, and animation.
- Experience developing game features across multiple platforms.
- Significant experience developing online multiplayer games or other interactive real-time technology applications with a strong online component.
- Mandatory experience with Unreal Engine development.
- Interest in social, frontend, and gameplay-adjacent game development areas.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, cross-discipline collaboration, and feedback skills.
