
Senior QA Automation Engineer - Charles River Development, hybrid, Assistant Vice President
State StreetResponsibilities
- Design and develop scalable automated test frameworks and regression suites.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality feature delivery.
- Expand automation coverage across functional, integration, and system testing.
- Support continuous integration and delivery pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
- Identify quality risks early and drive continuous improvement in testing processes.
- Contribute to shared automation libraries and testing infrastructure.
- Advocate for quality engineering best practices across the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software testing experience in a process-driven technology environment.
- Strong programming expertise in at least one modern object-oriented language, including Java, C#, JavaScript, or Python.
- Hands-on front-end testing experience with Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with back-end and API testing involving REST APIs, HTTP, and SOAP services.
- Solid database knowledge and practical SQL experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign education equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, another technical field, or Business with an MIS background.
- A master's degree is strongly preferred.
- Experience translating business requirements into functional and technical test plans is preferred.
- Experience testing web, desktop or native applications, APIs, and batch processes is preferred.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6, or Gatling is preferred.
- Familiarity with PowerShell or Bash is preferred.
