Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead development of a modular, rack-based Hardware-in-the-Loop ecosystem for the V5 humanoid robot.
- Design, implement, and scale test automation frameworks for continuous firmware and software regression testing.
- Build and manage GitHub Actions pipelines that trigger firmware flashing and test execution on physical HiL runners.
- Develop high-fidelity real-time simulation models for motors, encoders, communication frameworks, and sensors.
- Create and maintain software libraries for EtherCAT, CAN, SPI, I2C, SCPI-controlled power supplies, and PXI relay interfaces.
- Configure and maintain Linux-based workstations as GitHub Actions self-hosted runners with deterministic, traceable test environments.
- Collaborate with electrical engineering and firmware teams on signal mapping, fault injection, and sensor-data simulation.
- Programmatically control Fault Injection Units to simulate short-to-battery, short-to-ground, and open-circuit conditions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in test engineering, design verification, or electrical validation.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Hardware-in-the-Loop systems and applying Verification and Validation methodologies to complex robotic or embedded systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and development, plus MATLAB/Simulink for real-time model development.
- Proven experience with GitHub Actions and hardware-focused test automation frameworks.
- Deep understanding of EtherCAT, Ethernet, CAN, SPI, I2C, and differential UART.
- Experience with real-time simulation platforms such as dSpace Labbox, SCALEXIO, ConfigurationDesk, or NI, and with Linux RT.
- Strong preference for experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, aerospace, or other complex hardware systems.
- Familiarity with Acontis and other EtherCAT simulation tools.
- Experience with Linux system administration and Docker for containerized test environments.
- Experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, Gazebo, or Webots.
- Experience with programmable power supplies, electronic loads, and PXI-based switching hardware.
- Experience in a high-growth startup or New Product Introduction environment is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Current authorization to work in the United States is required.
