Responsibilities
- Own the development and technical implementation of custom features.
- Serve as the team’s subject matter expert and help drive technical direction.
- Design, implement, test, monitor, and maintain scalable features and systems.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, project stakeholders, and other development teams.
- Advocate for sound software architecture, development practices, and clean, maintainable code.
- Discuss technical strategy and tradeoffs for potential software solutions.
- Mentor, coach, and support junior and intermediate developers.
- Develop and maintain documentation for features and integrations.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and understanding company goals.
Requirements
- University degree or college diploma in a recognized technical, vocational, or academic program, preferably in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience building rich, complex web applications.
- Experience architecting and augmenting large software systems.
- Extensive full-stack experience with Node.js, AWS, React.js, and the TypeScript ecosystem.
- Back-end development experience with NestJS.
- Experience with TypeORM and PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of web security best practices and data protection.
- Knowledge of containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing abilities.
- Nice-to-have experience includes microservices, micro-frontends, gRPC, Redis or similar caching and queueing technologies, and MongoDB.
