Base Salary

$116k - $188k/yr

Responsibilities

Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for the AI Configs product.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to enhance GenAI workflows.
Continuously optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems.
Participate in architecture and design discussions with senior engineers.
Stay updated with the latest developments in AI and software development best practices.
Take ownership of production code and participate in on-call rotations.

2-4 years of experience with server-side programming languages such as Java, Scala, Ruby, Python, or Golang.
Willingness to work 2 days per week in the Oakland, CA office.
Hands-on experience building GenAI features or working with Large Language Models (LLMs).
Understanding of prompt engineering, fine-tuning models, or deploying AI services in production.
Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
Experience writing production-ready code with a focus on quality and maintainability.
Experience with distributed systems or data ingestion.
Strong computer science fundamentals.
Commitment to a communicative and collaborative work environment.
Ability to navigate ambiguous challenges in a rapidly evolving domain.
Strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering impactful solutions.
Proven ability to work closely with Product and Design teams in a fast-paced environment.
