Responsibilities
- Design platform mechanisms that preserve transaction integrity and availability across POS terminals, store middleware, and cloud services.
- Define and validate failure-mode strategies for intermittent connectivity, tier isolation, data replay, synchronization conflicts, and graceful degradation.
- Establish latency budgets, performance envelopes, throughput measurements, concurrency limits, and resource-saturation validation across system tiers.
- Develop AI-enabled systems that generate and execute performance and resilience validation.
- Integrate non-functional quality gates into CI/CD workflows and evaluate timeout, retry, circuit-breaker, and backoff strategies under stress.
- Architect structured telemetry and end-to-end transaction traceability across edge, store, and cloud tiers.
- Collaborate with development teams to eliminate bottlenecks, improve root-cause detection, and drive production readiness.
- Implement and deploy platform components in Node.js and companion services in Java.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- More than 6 years of professional experience in software development or L3 support roles using Java.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js.
- Experience in performance engineering, reliability engineering, or distributed systems architecture.
- Experience designing deterministic timeouts, retry and backoff strategies, circuit breakers, and concurrency controls.
- Experience modeling multi-tier systems spanning edge, middleware, and cloud environments.
- Understanding of SLOs, SLIs, and non-functional validation.
- Experience deploying services in Kubernetes-based cloud environments.
- Strong debugging and profiling skills for distributed systems.
- Experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Git, Maven, Docker, MongoDB, and cloud environments.
- Preferred experience with automated resilience or fault-injection systems, event-driven architectures, structured observability, AI-enabled automation, workflow orchestration, and intermittently connected systems.
- Frontend experience with JavaScript, Vue.js, Node.js, and TypeScript is preferred.
- Experience with Linux, Windows, Selenium, or Cucumber is preferred.
- Fluent English.
