Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end solution delivery across discovery and delivery tracks, including prototypes, technical designs, implementations, approvals, delivery sign-off, and post-release support.
- Develop critical components and complex features, conduct code reviews, and ensure code quality, scalability, security, observability, and other non-functional requirements.
- Lead client technical engagements by facilitating workshops, presenting solutions, making trade-off decisions, and driving stakeholder approvals.
- Create architecture and delivery artifacts including ADRs, interface contracts, data models, sequencing diagrams, migration and rollback plans, and traceability matrices.
- Apply AI-assisted and agentic workflows for design, prototyping, code generation, test-case creation, documentation, and automated validation.
- Mentor and upskill engineers through pair programming, code reviews, example-driven leadership, and guidance on AI-assisted development and specification-driven design.
- Contribute to platform strategy, reusable assets, API-first designs, risk mitigation, backward compatibility, data integrity, and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of professional software development experience with current, daily hands-on coding and prototyping.
- At least 5 years building cloud-native, microservices, or event-driven systems using Azure or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Strong proficiency with Java and Spring Boot, TypeScript, and React or Vue.
- Experience owning medium-to-large solutions through design, implementation, and post-release operational accountability.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, deployment tooling, automated testing, CI/CD, AI-assisted development tools, REST/OpenAPI, messaging platforms, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Experience using generative AI and agentic development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor with measurable delivery impact.
- Strong stakeholder communication, workshop facilitation, technical presentation, mentoring, code review, and engineering-practice leadership skills.
- Preferred qualifications include retail platform knowledge, POS and store operations experience, Azure certifications, enterprise security and compliance expertise, Dual-Track Agile leadership, platform strategy experience, API-first design, and formal or machine-readable specifications such as OpenAPI, UML+OCL, or TLA+.
