Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain APIs and batch jobs for asset ingestion, processing, and distribution.
- Create and manage on-premises and cloud infrastructure using AWS, GCP, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability for production services.
- Participate in on-call rotations and manage critical production deployments.
- Optimize system performance, reduce costs, and address technical debt.
- Coordinate data ingestion requirements with US-based content partners.
- Collaborate with engineering teams in Utah and Seoul across time zones.
- Drive AI methodologies and agentic AI workflows in active code repositories.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing demos and code reviews.
- Manage containerized deployments and CI/CD workflows using Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or cloud operations.
- Proficiency in one or more of Python, Bash, C++, or Go.
- Experience with AWS and/or GCP cloud services.
- Familiarity with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of Linux distributions and command-line tools.
- Experience with relational databases such as Postgres and non-relational databases such as MongoDB.
- Knowledge of Prometheus and Grafana or comparable monitoring and observability tools.
- Understanding of message queues, caching strategies, and horizontal and vertical scaling.
- Familiarity with agentic engineering tools including Claude Code, Cursor, MCP servers, custom skills, or agent frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and collaborate across international time zones.
