Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test software across labor-event ingestion, aggregation, reporting, and configuration layers.
  • Build distributed, high-throughput services and multi-stage stream-processing pipelines for billions of annual labor events.
  • Use AWS services and Cosmos/Flink to deliver low-latency reports with 99.9% availability across three global regions.
  • Modernize legacy infrastructure, consolidate services, and transition batch processing to stream-based microservices architecture.
  • Build AI-assisted development workflows and intelligent configuration, intake-routing, and operational tools using Amazon Q and Amazon Bedrock.
  • Contribute to the React portal modernization and related accessibility, localization, and access-control capabilities.
  • Participate in scoping, design, implementation, testing, delivery, code reviews, technical discussions, and risk mitigation.
  • Define coding standards, estimate work, negotiate timelines, document technical concepts, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • 1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • 1+ year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • 1+ year of Object Oriented Design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
