Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated coding interactions end-to-end.
- Assess whether agent responses are useful, correct at a high level, and aligned with strong engineering judgment.
- Evaluate the quality of explanations, reasoning, preambles, and user guidance rather than syntax alone.
- Distinguish between different levels of response quality and define what makes an interaction excellent.
- Provide clear, opinionated feedback about what worked, what failed, and what felt misleading or incorrect.
- Help define quality standards for interactions with AI coding tools such as Cursor.
Requirements
- Staff- or Principal-level software engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Strong background in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.
- Hands-on experience using OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor.
- Deep familiarity with modern AI-assisted development workflows.
- Ability to evaluate code without fully executing or deeply reviewing every line.
- Ability to make subjective but rigorous judgments and provide direct, opinionated feedback.
- High standards for engineering quality and judgment.
Benefits
- Contract engagement paying $100–$200 per hour.
