Responsibilities
- Lead the technical workstream for internal automation projects, including HR system evaluation, integration-complexity assessment, data-dependency mapping, and migration support.
- Design and build multi-step automation workflows with n8n, UiPath, and Python, including exception handling, retries, monitoring, alerting, and documentation.
- Build and maintain enterprise integrations using APIs, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, SFTP, and event-driven patterns.
- Develop secure Claude-based AI integrations with HRIS and enterprise systems using MCP servers, connectors, plugins, and agent frameworks.
- Deploy and operate internal applications and AI-powered tools on AWS with access controls, secrets management, credential rotation, and audit logging.
- Analyze end-to-end business processes, identify automation opportunities, and design scalable target-state architectures.
- Collaborate with Europe- and APAC-based stakeholders to translate technical requirements into solution designs and project deliverables.
Requirements
- 6–7+ years of hands-on professional experience in automation engineering, systems integration, solution architecture, or AI application development; exceptional mid-level candidates may also be considered.
- Demonstrated experience delivering automation workflows and enterprise integrations, with essential experience in Python, n8n, and UiPath.
- Strong knowledge of API design and integration patterns, including OAuth 2.0, webhooks, SFTP, and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on AWS deployment and operations experience, including Lambda, API Gateway, Bedrock, Glue, Secrets Manager, and CI/CD pipeline management.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals, including Git, GitHub, Docker, structured release management, and security practices such as least privilege, RBAC/ABAC, and credential handling.
- Experience with Workday or other enterprise HRIS platforms is strongly advantageous but not required.
- Ability to collaborate across European and APAC time zones with a Berlin-based team.
- n8n Level 1 or Level 2 certification is strongly preferred.
