Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain mobile test automation frameworks from scratch or by extending existing frameworks.
- Build reusable test utilities, mocks, and simulators, and write maintainable integration and end-to-end tests.
- Define and evolve test strategies combining automation, exploratory testing, regression coverage, and performance testing.
- Integrate automated testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines and maintain the health and relevance of test suites and regression packs.
- Test front-end, back-end, APIs, and distributed microservices using modern testing frameworks and tools.
- Perform performance testing of mobile applications across iOS, Android, and varied devices and platforms.
- Investigate defects and production issues, support manual QA, and validate fixes through automation.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, principal engineers, delivery managers, and other cross-functional stakeholders to embed quality early in the SDLC and resolve defects.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in mobile application test automation.
- Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks and API testing tools.
- Confident writing automated tests in JavaScript or TypeScript using tools such as Selenium, Charles Proxy, and Maestro.
- Expertise designing and executing end-to-end test strategies aligned with Agile delivery.
- Experience with Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, UIAutomator, and Maestro.
- Experience debugging with Xcode and Android Studio.
- Experience with device clouds including TestFlight and Amazon Device Farm.
- Experience working in agile continuous-delivery teams and coordinating defect prioritization and resolution.
- Computer Science or Information Technology degree, diploma, or similar qualification preferred.
- CSTAE or ASTQB ISTQB Advanced Certification preferred.
- Certified Automation Tester certification, such as Cypress or Playwright, preferred.
- Familiarity with pipeline and event-driven systems such as Kafka, AWS EventBridge, AWS Step Functions, queues, streams, and Snaplogic preferred.
- Experience with Jira and Xray for test management preferred.
