Base Salary
$156k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create and improve clear, accurate, and usable developer documentation for Plaid’s APIs.
- Build sample applications, demos, and tutorial videos that demonstrate Plaid API integrations and best practices.
- Maintain developer-facing resources, including the Postman collection and documentation website.
- Advocate for developers and translate community needs into actionable product and documentation insights.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing to improve developer experience and scale developer engagement, activation, and onboarding.
Requirements
- Require 5+ years of experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, or similar roles, or a combination of 2+ years in Developer Relations and 3+ years in related technical roles.
- Write clear, idiomatic code in at least one widely used backend language and one frontend language.
- Have experience building sample applications and technical demos.
- Have experience writing high-quality developer documentation from scratch and identifying documentation gaps.
- Be able to learn and explain new technologies and concepts quickly.
- Demonstrate strong developer empathy and the ability to communicate what matters to developers.
- Thoughtfully use generative AI while maintaining high quality in external-facing content.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with OpenAPI, web or mobile development, B2B APIs, developer communities, presentation, and technical content such as slide decks, diagrams, web apps, or video.
