Responsibilities
- Deliver solution architecture from discovery through delivery while aligning solutions with business goals, constraints, and non-functional requirements.
- Define end-to-end architecture across application components, integrations, APIs, data flows, infrastructure, cloud, identity and access management, and observability.
- Create architecture artifacts including context and container diagrams, sequence flows, deployment views, non-functional requirements, and architecture decision records.
- Embed security-by-design, privacy, data protection, auditability, data residency, and data retention controls.
- Guide engineering teams, review designs and implementation plans, and reduce delivery rework and risk.
- Drive reuse of approved platforms, patterns, and reference architectures while reducing technical debt and technology duplication.
- Define monitoring, alerting, logging, capacity, disaster recovery, business continuity, and runbook requirements with SRE and service management.
- Manage cross-team dependencies and technical risks, and escalate decisions through architecture governance forums.
- Contribute to architecture communities of practice, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience delivering solution architecture for complex, multi-system change.
- Strong understanding of API-led integration, microservices, event-driven architecture, cloud-native architecture, and legacy integration modernization.
- Ability to define, quantify, and validate availability, performance, resilience, scalability, security, and maintainability requirements.
- Knowledge of security-by-design practices including identity and access management, encryption, secrets management, least privilege, and secure software development lifecycle practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in agile delivery environments and collaborating across multiple teams.
- Financial services or banking domain experience is desirable.
- Cloud or architecture certification, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or TOGAF, is desirable.
- Experience with large-scale data platforms and integration tooling is desirable.
- Familiarity with SRE principles and operational readiness practices is desirable.
