Responsibilities

  • Own the enterprise CDP architecture vision and govern AEP platform topology, environment strategy, XDM schemas, datasets, and Customer Profile alignment.
  • Lead client data-source deep dives and define target AEP ingestion architectures and XDM data models for systems including Redshift, Reltio, Veeva, and Adobe Target.
  • Construct technical architectures for multiple AEP solutions while aligning with client standards, regulatory requirements, use cases, and technical constraints.
  • Lead architecture review boards, evaluate designs against enterprise standards, and document deviations and risk assessments.
  • Select and govern batch, streaming, CDC, Flow Service API, and Federated Audience Composition ingestion patterns.
  • Define batch ingestion architectures using AEP Batch Connectors, Amazon S3, Azure ADLS, Google Cloud Storage, SFTP, Parquet, JSON, CSV, and Avro.
  • Design CDC integrations using Kafka, Debezium, and AEP Streaming Inlets, including topic conventions, schema registry alignment, and dead-letter queue strategies.
  • Govern ETL and ELT architecture standards for ADF, Informatica IDMC, Talend, and dbt workloads feeding AEP.
  • Govern custom source integrations and AEP Sources SDK standards, including connection objects, mapping sets, authentication, pagination, rate limiting, and recovery patterns.
  • Define data quality gates, profile completeness thresholds, identity-resolution metrics, compliance evidence, and governance frameworks.
  • Manage concurrent client engagements and collaborate with data engineers, marketing technologists, business analysts, and QA leads.
  • Mentor senior developers and lead engineers and present architecture decisions and trade-offs to client stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 15 years of experience in enterprise architecture; the professional profile also specifies 12–15 years overall experience with at least 5 years in AEP or Adobe Experience Cloud architecture and enterprise CDP delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with minimum 15 years of full-time education, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on SQL experience, including AEP Query Service using the PostgreSQL dialect and Data Distiller.
  • Expert-level Adobe Experience Platform and RTCDP proficiency covering platform architecture, data modeling, ingestion design, and governance.
  • Authority-level experience with the AEP Flow Service API object model, Data Prep mapping architecture, and CI/CD-based sandbox-to-production promotion.
  • Experience designing Federated Audience Composition architectures with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse, Private Link, and VPC Peering.
  • Experience governing integrations with Redshift, Reltio, and Veeva, including authentication, XDM mapping, and delta ingestion.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, JWT, webhook patterns, event-driven architecture, DULE, Policy Service API, GDPR/CCPA, consent management, and Privacy Service API.
  • Adobe Certified Expert certification in Adobe Experience Platform Technical Foundations and/or RTCDP is preferred.
  • Snowflake SnowPro Core certification, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Audience Manager, and Adobe Target knowledge are advantageous.
  • Strong communication, organizational, consensus-building, negotiation, stakeholder-management, and distributed-team leadership skills are required.
