Responsibilities
- Drive ambiguous, high-impact problems from idea through production.
- Partner with Product and Design to define scope, trade-offs, and execution plans.
- Design, build, and evolve production systems with emphasis on reliability, correctness, and maintainability.
- Own built systems, including on-call responsibilities and incident response.
- Contribute to technical and product decisions shaping the team’s direction.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Requirements
- Bring strong product and customer judgment and care about what is being built and why.
- Have proven ownership of production features or systems, including reliability and on-call responsibilities.
- Work comfortably through ambiguity and make thoughtful trade-offs with incomplete information.
- Use AI tools in daily development, debugging, and learning workflows and critically review AI-generated pull requests.
- Have backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Have experience with relational databases such as Postgres.
- Have experience operating production systems with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog.
- Be comfortable working in containerized or cloud-based environments.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Experience with React Native, financial, payments, crypto-related systems, or high-growth product environments is preferred but not required.
