Lead Site Reliability Engineer- Network

- Own reliability outcomes for mission-critical network services, including availability, performance, and recoverability.
- Lead major incident response, technical mitigation, post-incident learning, and end-to-end problem management.
- Conduct resiliency design reviews, readiness reviews, resilience testing, and change-safety activities.
- Architect automation and self-healing frameworks using Python, Shell, and Ansible.
- Provide technical leadership across SD-WAN, SDA, software-defined networking, routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, and network fabrics.
- Improve observability by defining operational signals, reducing alert noise, and aligning monitoring with service health.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted reliability workflows while validating outputs and maintaining resiliency, auditability, and security controls.
- Mentor engineers, share SRE practices, and advise on technical and business issues.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in site reliability engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Extensive experience operating and engineering large-scale networks with strong troubleshooting depth.
- Proven leadership coordinating major incidents and driving technical mitigation.
- Demonstrated root-cause analysis, systemic issue identification, and delivery of long-term remediation.
- Advanced automation experience with Python, Shell, and Ansible, including measurable toil reduction and reliability gains.
- Strong understanding of SRE concepts, non-functional requirements, and reliability engineering practices.
- Ability to work independently, manage stakeholders, and drive delivery with minimal supervision.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to improve SRE workflows, with strong validation habits and data-sensitivity awareness.
- Ability to evaluate AI-assisted operational recommendations, define usage guardrails, and align outcomes with resiliency and security expectations.
- Preferred expertise with Cisco ACI/Fabrics and experience with VMware NSX.
- Preferred CCNP, CCIE, equivalent, or other vendor certifications.
- Prior financial-institution experience is preferred.
