Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP RAP, ABAP Objects, and SAP development best practices.
- Develop and integrate OData services, SAP Fiori applications, REST APIs, and SAPUI5 solutions.
- Build SAP BTP extensions and integrations while following clean core, extensibility, security, and scalability principles.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, estimations, and technical design activities.
- Investigate and resolve complex application, integration, and performance issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, engineering excellence, technical standards, and best practices while mentoring junior developers.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a SAP ABAP Developer, preferably supporting SAP S/4HANA implementation, transformation, or modernization programs.
- Hands-on experience with ABAP RAP, including business objects, behavior definitions, service definitions, and service bindings.
- Strong expertise in SAP BTP and integration or extension scenarios.
- Advanced knowledge of ABAP Objects, CDS, enhancement frameworks, BAdIs, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Experience using Eclipse and ADT as primary development environments.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle, from analysis and design through deployment and support.
- Fluent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include SAP S/4HANA Cloud, ABAP Cloud, Embedded Steampunk, SAP CAP, SAP Integration Suite, API Management, Event Mesh, SAP Business Application Studio, Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, automated testing tools, HANA data modeling, SAP certifications, Agile or Scrum environments, and mentoring experience.
