Base Salary
$176k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and release features and products across Lyft’s Rider application
- Define the long-term technology roadmap and architecture
- Oversee major changes to Android architecture
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver a high-quality user experience
- Evaluate and implement technologies that improve developer efficiency
- Mentor and support developers through code reviews, design feedback, advice, and guidance
- Solve complex real-time data transfer and synchronization issues
- Implement pixel-perfect designs with advanced interactions
- Influence architecture, platform, processes, engineering culture, and technical direction across the Rider Android group
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience as an Android developer
- Advanced knowledge of Java and Kotlin
- Familiarity with RxJava
- Strong knowledge of architecture and design patterns
- Experience working on and shipping large-scale Android applications
- Strong product sense and attention to usability and design
- Collaborative experience working with product managers, designers, and engineering teams on complex products
- Experience leading a technical team is a bonus
