Responsibilities
- Embed with customers to understand their operations and deliver working AI solutions.
- Deploy, integrate, maintain, and support Avoca voice-agent products in complex customer environments.
- Build and maintain infrastructure for conversational AI, including integrations, monitoring, and feedback loops.
- Diagnose production issues and conduct root-cause analysis across distributed systems, APIs, and LLM-powered workflows.
- Translate business requirements into technical architectures and deployment plans.
- Identify deployment patterns and provide insights for the product roadmap.
- Monitor and optimize production performance while working with LLMs and distributed systems.
- Communicate complex technical issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Document solutions, best practices, and troubleshooting processes.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience, preferably in backend or systems-focused work.
- Proficiency in Python; TypeScript or JavaScript experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with microservices architectures, APIs, SQL or NoSQL databases, networking, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience diagnosing and debugging production systems and integration environments.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical customer-facing stakeholders.
- Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, vector databases, or AI agent frameworks is valued.
- Customer-facing technical experience is a plus.
- Ability to work remotely while collaborating across US time zones.
