Responsibilities

  • Develop core rendering features, engine components, tools, and reusable rendering technologies.
  • Research and implement real-time rendering techniques and graphics research papers.
  • Design, maintain, implement, test, and debug rendering code, pipelines, and related components.
  • Write technical design specifications and optimize rendering modules through profiling and performance analysis.
  • Investigate and optimize low-level game-engine code across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to improve visual quality and create immersive game worlds.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with C++ development.
  • Experience working on or creating real-time rendering engines.
  • Experience with modern graphics APIs such as DirectX 12, Vulkan, or Metal.
  • Experience developing rendering techniques and implementing research papers.
  • Experience with PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series S/X.
  • Experience with graphics performance analysis, optimization, and tools such as PIX, RenderDoc, or Razor.
  • Strong debugging, multithreading, memory-management, multiprocessor, and runtime-optimization skills.
  • Strong mathematics skills including trigonometry, calculus, and linear algebra.
  • Experience with art and content pipelines and workflows, plus the ability to collaborate in an open feedback environment.

  • British Columbia base salary range of CAD 122,300–170,700, depending on location and other factors.
